Christmas Eve!

It's Christmas Eve!!  I hope you have a wonderful day today, a wonderful Christmas dinner and you get to spend your day with your loved ones! I've been caught up with all the presents and dinner arrangements and a few days ago my dad just told me something so important we sometimes forget. This is a Holiday were we remember the born of Jesus, the gifts are just something symbolic you give and we should be celebrating that (my respect to other religions) We should focus on spending the time with our families and friends and last, the presents!

The year is coming to an end!

This year could not ended in a better way! Yesterday I got told such an amazing news! I swear you all are going to love it from the bottom of your hearts and I am so excited to finally be sharing the news on January 8th (Yep, my birthday! ) I am beyond excited and there is going to be another surprise in March! Will THAT will make happy a lot more people!

In the midst of war, our human nature to love, even the descendants of our enemies, still prevails in one way or another.

As you can see the Holidays have invaded TheStyleStash.com! and I am so glad because this is one of my favorite holidays... it is about spending time with your family, give love, spread love and peace to everyone... in one day we all feel like one family!
Did you know that at a war both armies that were fighting against each other established that the 24th December they all would hang out and have a special Christmas dinner, ALL TOGETHER!? Yes.. we can fight violence with love and peace... we just need to be ourselves and be more conscious about what we do, think and say. Remember actions speak louder than words!

Christmas is almost here!!!

I love Christmas and I love this time of the year! I think is so magical even tho in Chile is not winter, so we don't have a Crhistmas with snow but I definetely found it special!
Every time in this time of the year I am freacking out of what to give to my parents and my grandmother and my hole family!

I know now I want to gift something that I've never gived before! an Scrapbook! but of course a mini one.So I started to think of what you guys could give to the people that you love!
Now I was surfing down the internet and found out amazing ideas how to wrapped your gifts or how to decorate your house or your room, how to make an amazing dinner and everythin, so I will share them with you!

First a few list about what to give this Christmas!

-Suitcase full of things inside like clothes and candies or chocolates or something like that. (It could be also be books in there if your loved one loves to read!)
-Bathing suits (we are in summer) or a winter coat (if you are in winter).
- A Scrapbook, this idea maybe super common in the US but in Chile is super weird ! :)
- A PC game
-Notebook or Digital camera.
-Make up.
- Great books.
-Copybooks or agendas with designs and of course they need to be pretty!

Halloween Party!

I've always wanted to throw a killer terrorific Halloween Party! but I've never got the chance since my apartment isnt very big and I always have the fear if I throw a party nobody comes. But for those who always do parties I can help you with the best  Ideas for a Halloween Party!

Party Drinks

Pumpkin Martini

 Ingredients

• 1.5 oz. vanilla vodka
• 1 oz. pumpkin liqueur
• 1 oz. butterscotch Schnapps
• sprinkle of pumpkin pie spice
• dried pumpkin seeds to garnish

Do it yourself!

Add the vanilla vodka, pumpkin liqueur, Schnapps and spice to a shaker with ice and shake well. Strain into a chilled martini glass and garnish with a few dried pumpkin seeds.

TIP: For some added sweetness and fun, spray the top of the cocktail with whipped cream and then add the pumpkin seeds.

Witch's Brew

Non alcoholic drink for everybody!

NOTE: if this one is appealing to the adults as well, simply add 2 oz. cranberry or orange-flavored vodka to the brew when it’s added to the glass, and stir.

Ingredients

• 5 cups apple-cranberry juice
• 1 cup pineapple juice
• 1 cup orange juice
• 2 cinnamon sticks
• 2 teaspoons whole cloves
• liberal dash of allspice

Do it yourself!

Bring to a boil in a saucepan, and then lower heat and simmer for about ten-fifteen minutes. Pour into mugs, ensuring the brew has cooled enough to be drink-able.

Ingredients:

-12 Marshmallows

-Confectioners'sugar

-24 unfrosted cupcakes (white or yellow works best)

-White frosting

-Junior Mints, chocolate chips, and slivered almonds

Instructions:

1-Cut the marshmallows in half widthwise using kitchen shears dipped in confectioners' sugar (this keeps them from sticking).

2- Carefully pull each cupcake liner partially away from the cake and tuck half a marshmallow between the paper and the cupcake to create the skull's jaw.

3- Frost each cupcake and marshmallow, then add Junior Mints with white frosting dots for eyes, a chocolate chip nose, and slivered almond tee.

Ingredients:

-

Meatloaf from your favorite recipe (ours used about 2 pounds of meat).

Olive slices.

-

American cheese

Instructions:

1-Make your favorite meatloaf recipe and shape the loaf to resemble a mummy's body with crossed arms. Bake the loaf until it's cooked through.

2-Let it rest about 3 minutes, then lay 1-inch-wide strips of American cheese across the body as shown, leaving a narrow space on the head for the olive slice eyes. Trim any overhanging cheese with scissors and return the mummy to the still-warm oven to slightly melt the cheese, about 1 minute.
