Tough one, if you are short these might be a big problem, if you are a little but curvier these will add volume, so let's say oversized coats are not the easiest to pull off. But luckily for you I am here to the rescue! While oversized coats are a great piece for Fall/Winter considering they are both stylish and warm (hello NYC winter) is best to say that they need a little thought while choosing your outfit.

For short girls I would highly suggest a coat not longer than your knees, a pair of heeled booties (they don't have to be 5") but you do need to wear some height while rocking this piece! Also, try pastel colors instead of the always fab neutrals like black and nude.  great color for you would be a pastel light blue or light pink, this way you won't be contrasting too much with the place you live in and you will blend a lot more with the skies and colors of the day (I promise it makes sense, imagine a big block of black in the middle of a city or a block of light blue... Yeah thought so!)

For you my curvier ladies, opt for a coat with darker colors, not so big and try it with some buttons details in the front since they will add a little bit of  shape to your figure. You can also rock some heeled booties so you look more polished but it is up to you and your height. If you are going to try a black coat, then all your clothes underneath should be the same lighter hue, grey for example is perfect, you will create contrast, you will look more uniform which will give the appearance of looking thinner and the black coat for sure will look fab over that awesome outfit!
