detox

Woooosh. I am not sure if I am going to be able to but I am going to try my best. Since last year, when I moved to NYC my skin has been a hot mess and not hot in a cute way, I mean in a very crazy way. I think that the combination of everything has made a huge impact on my life and how I react to things specially my body and skin since they have been the one that have suffered the most. Remember my post about Lifestyle Detox? this is Part II.

For at least a week (I will try 2 weeks and who knows if I can do it for a lifetime).
  1. Give up sugar. All sugar. ALL SUGAR.
  2. Drink a glass of lemon water every morning (I do it after breakfast so I'm gonna aim to do it before).
  3. Add green vegetables to each meal (I hate vegetables so I am gonna try to make them into a smoothie).
  4. Healthy snacks, I hate humus, so I am really scared of this one. Peanuts, almonds? what else?
  5. Stay off soy. This is the hardest one for sure, I love sushi soaking wet in soy sauce.
  6. Use face oil 3 times a week. Scared of this one.
  7. Drink half my body weight in water. It doesn't mean that you need to drink 75 pounds of water everyday lol. Example, if you weight 150 pounds then you would have to drink 75 ounces  of water a day.
  8. Use natural skin products. I have to be honest, I can't at the moment, the budget is tight and is not my priority to buy a $30 face cleanser. But I do want to change my nail polishes to natural ones for the rest of my life and I've heard Zoya ones are great so ... that will do, kind of.
